Brett Christensen I find Lucette's music conducive to listening in all different moods, which is good, as I find myself listening to "Brushstrokes Echo" frequently. Her music is emotionally complex and sonically interesting. More so than many albums I find my experience of each song changing as I become more familiar with the piece. This is the first album of her works that I've listened to and I'm looking forward to exploring the rest. Favorite track: Through Empty Heaven.

Brian Bourassa Rich and powerful free floating ambient music from a great female artist.

Prior to her passing she had produced 23 recordings along with scores of paintings, both of which are of great value to this world.

I never met Lucette. I never spoke with her. Yet I feel that I truly know her mind and her heart.

While she was alive she poured herself into her art, both sonic and visual.

I don't know of anyone who has heard Lucette's music who has not been deeply moved by it. The depth of her artistry has been heralded by many, and for good reason. Over the course of over 23 albums worth of music, Lucette's sonic palette creates a rich and diverse world of aural stories and immersive atmospheres. The sounds she brings to life resonate with her paintings in that they both create abstract spaces that have a sense of timeless reality.

She was inspired to make music by being faced with her own mortality, all of her music being created during her struggle with cancer (which eventually took her in 2011). I don't know her thoughts about death and the preciousness of living, but I feel that her music explores that place where darkness and light mingle. And I feel that she ultimately felt the beauty of the light, even in the presence of the unknowable shadows, for that is what this music reveals to me.

I would love to have released original music from Lucette (she did contribute pieces to Free Floating compilations before she passed). But I am happy to present these pieces of her art as a tribute to her. Her vision and the music it brought forth continue to inspire me. As you listen to these pieces I hope that you too will be enamoured of their grace and enraptured by the light and life that Lucette left for us all.
